QP Semiconductor Adds Dynamic Look-up Feature on Web SiteEasy Access to Programming Requirements for PLAs, CPLD, PROMs and Microcontrollers SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--QP Semiconductor today announced that its newly designed website now offers a feature that dynamically looks up programming requirements for its broad range of programmable ICs. This is QP Semiconductor’s response to its growing customer base that use programmable ICs, particularly those no longer supported by its OEMs today. Access to the website and database is instant and free. According to Jim Townsend, director of marketing, “We are so happy to be able to support our customers in a real time manner.” He continued, “Because QP Semiconductor supports a large range of products from competing original Integrated Circuit manufacturers, customers need a fast resource to identify the correct programming algorithm that they need.” To utilize this new resource, enter the QP Semiconductor web site (http://www.qpsemi.com) then select “Programming Support” on the upper right header bar. Enter the product part number in the “Search” box in the right side of the Programming Support page and type in a part number, generic or even a partial number. Within moments all the devices sourced by QP Semiconductor with that number are displayed, along with the appropriate programming algorithm (die manufacturer) to use. Also included on the support page is a complete listing of all die manufacturers and each respective package backside code used to identify the type of die in a specific QP Semiconductor product. This allows customers to quickly identify the product and select the correct programming algorithm. In addition, it will aid customers in verifying that they are using the correct product for their specific application, and should that application be sensitive to the original manufacturer of the device used for that application. For more information, please contact QP Semiconductor at www.qpsemi.com or Jim Townsend, Marketing Director at jtownsend@qpsemi.com.
